FareTruth exists to help you check observed price gaps — you were shown more than peers — not to monetize your identity.We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data for advertising, brokering, or vendor targeting.That rule does not have a loophole for “partners.”

What we collect — and why

• Prices you check — quote or product details you paste, so we can compare them with peers.
• Reports you send — vendor, numbers, and optional photos or notes, so we can watch that store and notify people who asked.
• Watch and alert choices — vendors or offers you follow, so we can email or text you when you asked us to.
• Account email — only if you sign in or turn on email alerts.
• Mobile number — only if you turn on text alerts. Used only to send those alerts.
• Vera chats — the question you type, so she can answer. We do not sell chat text. We do not use it for ads.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal data.
• We never share your personal data with advertisers or brokers.
• We never give vendors your identity so they can target you.
• We never sell browsing history.
• We never use advertising cookies or ad tracking pixels.
• We never take your store passwords or payment cards.

Who can touch data to run the site

We hire companies only to host this site, let you sign in, and send the email or text alerts you turn on.They may use your data only to do that work for us.They may not sell it or use it for their own ads.That is running the service you asked for — not selling or sharing your data.

What we publish

How we publish

Cookies and visit counts

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and keep the site secure.We count visits in a way that does not identify you to advertisers.You can use FareTruth without an account.Price checks, reports, and the browser extension run only when you act.

Your controls

You can stop email or text alerts anytime.You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your account data.Email privacy@faretruth.com and we will handle it.

Children

FareTruth is not for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page.We will not weaken the never-sell, never-share rule.
