What FareTruth is
FareTruth is a fair-price mirror.You can check a price against peers, report an observed gap, follow vendors, and read In the news.An observed price gap means you were shown more than peers — evidence for shoppers, not a legal finding.
What FareTruth is not
- Not legal advice, a lawsuit, or a regulator.
- Not a coupon, cashback, or deal-clipping app.
- Not a promise you will save money.
- Not a verdict that a store broke the law.
Your privacy
We will never sell or share your personal data.The Privacy policy is part of these terms.
Your reports and checks
You promise what you send is true as far as you know, and that you have the right to send it.Do not include other people’s private details, card numbers, or store passwords.We may use reports to watch a vendor, notify followers, and publish anonymous totals.We may decline or remove content that is abusive, illegal, or off-topic.
Fair use
- Do not break the site, scrape it aggressively, or overload it.
- Do not use FareTruth to harass anyone or post rage-bait as fact.
- Do not pretend a press card or shopper total is a FareTruth-verified finding.
- You must be 13 or older.
Alerts and accounts
Email and text alerts are optional.You can turn them off anytime.Message and data rates may apply for texts.We may pause alerts if they bounce or if you ask us to stop.
Our materials
FareTruth’s name, look, and copy belong to us.You may share a public page with credit.You may not copy the product to run a look-alike service.
No warranty
We offer FareTruth as-is.Comparisons depend on what shoppers send and what we can observe.We do not guarantee a price, a savings amount, or that a vendor will change.
Limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, FareTruth is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for a purchase you make at another store.If a court finds we owe you something, it is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months — which is $0 if you only use the free tools.
Changes and contact
